I have the top finished and am now quilting. I found the pattern, School House Quilt by Eddie Walker, at Stash quilt shop in Walla Walla. Though the pattern is a traditional type, Ms. Walker has an ingenious method for cutting out and sewing the blocks which makes it much easier than the old fashioned way. (She is a local quilter but the pattern lists her email as firstname.lastname@example.org)
If you are in Walla Walla you need to visit Stash (myfabricstash.com) I could spend an enormous amount of time and money there and the people who helped me were wonderful. And grab a meal at Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen (saffronmediterraneankitchen.com). It is my favorite restaurant in this half of Washington. It is a good idea to get a reservation, at least at dinner time.
